We have placed ourselves as paramount weather parameters manufacturers in India engrossed in manufacturing sophisticated range of weather parameter system and automatic weather parameter system which have shown their functional excellence in apt manner.
Sequence of Transmitting the Weather Parameters :
The following is an example of the sequence of information that should be used for all ATIS :
ATIS ID : (Identifier)
APCH : (approach information where an APP service is in operation)
RWY : (states arrival runways, then departure runways)
OPR INFO : (states runway operations such as PARL RWY OPS)
WND : (direction and strength shown as ddd/ss)
XW MAX : (shown as nn KTS on RWY nn)
DW MAX : (shown as nn KTS RWY nn)
VIS : (shown as nnnn or GT 10KM)
CLD : (shown as coverage amount then altitude)
TMP : (shown in degrees C)
QNH : (shown as nnnn)
Apart from this the ATIS can also be used to send certain information which might be of utmost use to the pilot like :
1) Availability of the runway.
2) Length of runway (if repairs are on).
3) Events like fire & birds flying near the runway, etc
Reading the Weather Parameters Requires the Skill!!
All numbers that contain whole hundreds and whole thousands must be transmitted by pronouncing each digit in number of hundreds or thousands followed by a word HUNDRED or THOUSAND.
The other values are transmitted by pronouncing each digit separately.
The time parameter is generally considered with reference to the GMT (Greenwich Meridian Time) in a four digit format. This is known as the Universal Coordinated Time (UTC). ZULU is used where UTC reference is used.
